Medical Medium Fresh Salsas! *oil free*
These recipes are for when you are trying to do a low-fat, plant-based diet, but need something to brighten up the taste buds. These are game changers for me because I find it so hard to be oil-free lately. I am making an effort to lower my fat intake by 25% because of the immediate benefits it has for my liver, which then translates to acheiving other health goals. Recipes:
Mango Salsa:
•2 cups mango diced
•2 cups tomatoes diced
•1 cup avocado diced
•1/2 cup onion diced
•2 tbsp orange juice
•1 lime juiced
•1/4 cup cilantro chopped
•1/4 cup jalapeño, diced
•1 tsp cumin
•Optional dash of cayenne
•Optional sea salt & pepper
Fresh Tomato Salsa:
*(put this one in the blender, usually it’s more chunky)
•4-5 medium sized tomatoes, finely chopped
•1/2 red onion, finely chopped
•3 tbsp lime juice
•1 small garlic clove, finely minced
•1/2 serrano chili or jalapeño, finely minced
•1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
•Sea salt (optional)
•1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)
